Established in 1993, AIS is the only international school in Singapore that offers the NSW Department of Education curriculum (HSG) and the International Baccalaureate B. AIS maintains an Australian education philosophy and provides an international education that offers a broad curriculum for all types of students, not only for English as a first language students but also for non-native English speakers. AIS promotes respect, international perspective, lifelong learning, critical thinking, creativity, communication, self-confidence, and transpersonal thinking in its curriculum in order to develop students into outstanding, socially responsible individuals with the right values. This "respectful" education has been appreciated by many families at home and abroad. Students can choose to study IG from 14-16 years old and IB or HSC (Australian High School Curriculum) from 16-18 years old.

Preschool, Kindergarten

The school promotes teaching according to the IB PYP framework. At this level, the school adopts the Reggio approach, where the environment is a "third teacher", providing students with a dedicated outdoor space with professional music, physical education and Mandarin teachers. Primary level

IB PYP (Grade1-Grade5); 200 minutes of Mandarin language study per week in subjects such as math, language, science, history, geography, music, visual arts, and physical education.

Secondary level (Grade6-Grade8)

The Australian Curriculum (Grade 6-Grade 8) focuses on content and achievement standards in areas of study that will help students better adapt to and complete secondary school.

Secondary level (Grade9-Grade10)

Cambridge IGCSE (Grade9-Grade10), taught as a two-year course from Grade 9, with external exams completed in Grade 10

High School level (Grade11-Grade12)

IBDP or HSC (Grade11-Grade12): both programs are available, and diplomas can be applied to universities around the world, including the UK, US, Australia and Canada.

IB Scores

In the IB exam results for 2021, AIS had two students with perfect scores and 70% of the candidates scored at or above 35, with a 100% pass rate for candidates. In addition, its HSC average ATAR score reached 78.5, well above the Australian average score of 70.
